To celebrate its 10th anniversary, Petite Friture initiates a new collaboration with the talented duo of female designers from Milan Studio Pepe.
“We want to preserve the idea that light is pure through the modern techniques we employ in our design. The manufacturing of the piece proved to be very trying because of the technical difficulties of the light. We sought to recreate the classic neon light, but with LED technology.” Arianna Lelli Mami and Chiara di Pinto.
Light is taken to new heights and reaches a form of pureness that is expressed through the authentic neon-like rendition. The pieces are overlaid with brass, a noble material for a delicate final touch.

Quasar
A contraction of ‘quasi-stellar’, the Quasar portable lamp lights up your world with its three different hues (warm, neutral, and cold white). In scientific terminology, a Quasar is a star-like body that is considered to be the brightest of all. Its circular appearance and its light properties inspired Samy Rio and Petite Friture as they worked on their first wireless lamp.
Quasar is a cordless lamp with a sleek, fun style. Built using LED technology, this lamp guarantees bright, sustainable, and environmentally friendly lighting. Equipped with a dimmer that can be set to three different intensities, Quasar adapts to whatever mood you are seeking to create. Its long-lasting battery can last up to 12 hours non-stop between charges.
Neotenic
Neotenic is a collection of table lamps that blossomed out of Petite Friture’s first collaboration with American design studio Jumbo. Inspired by comforting childhood aesthetics, Neotenic flaunts generous, organic lines. The lamp’s base isshaped like corkscrew cavatappi pasta. The lamp is available in are perfectly in line with Petite Friture’s chromatic identity and suggest a simplified portrayal of an aubergine and tomato sauce.
Beyond it’s pop, sculptural look, the Neotenic table lamp is also technique-driven. The quality of the light it produces is simultaneously pleasant, homogenous and powerful. The lamp’s stand is manufactured by ceramists in Portugal and the stand’s curvature requires a meticulous manual finishing and undergoes a counter-gravitational drying process.

Mediterranea
Inspired by the weightlessness ‘of laundry billowing in Mediterranean balconies’, Noé Duchaufour – Lawrance designs Mediterranea, a series of light in brass and LED. Resting on a light structure, the cloth of metal sculpts and diffuses the light through the lively and geometric pattern. This symbolism is also applied to suspension, wall, table and floor lamps.
