Big Bird
The fledgling light.
Big Bird and its smaller sibling Birdy were designed by Isidro Ferrer, an award-winning artist who excels at being truly unconventional. These life-size models are made with a classic woodcarving technique called vareta, in collaboration with master Fallas artisan Manolo Martin. The Fallas artisan is unique to Valencia and vareta is a traditional skill in which fine wooden strips are used to reproduce the shape (or ‘skin’) of the object they reflect. Together, Big-Bird and Birdy encapsulate LZF’s penchant for dreaming big and re-engineering the concept of what a lamp can be.
Hovering hummingbird-like, with their fine wooden plumage and hanging globes of light, the large Vertical Big Bird and small Vertical Birdy are accomplished feats of wood craftsmanship. These remarkable contemporary sculptures redefine the way in which we think of a lamp. Let your imagination soar.
Agatha Ball
The dramatic light.
Agatha’s elegant whirls of wood veneer strips combine to form an appealing suspension lamp. Designed by Luis Eslava Studio, the lamps concentric layers create an intriguing shape, one that sets Agatha apart. Gazing at those elegant whorls, we might visualise Agatha as a wonderfully ageing thespian: a shining light.
The Agatha Ball is the clever coalescence of two Agatha Small lamps, with its whorls of wood veneer strips appearing like a captivating ball of light.
The Agatha Ball is available in the following wood veneers: Ivory White, Natural Beech, Yellow, Orange, and Pale Rose. The canopy has a Matt Nickel finish.
Youpi
Seen from behind, the profile of the Youpi chair calls to mind the image of a stylized human figure, ready to welcome you in a comfortable embrace. Designed by Fabrice Berrux, what strikes the observer about the Youpi chair is its original shape, which adds style and a sense of lightness to any space. It consists of a series of different forms that combine to create a harmonious ensemble thanks to the fabric or leather upholstery that completely covers it: the circular backrest flows into the large seat and the whole is supported by a flared conical base. Youpi is also available in a version with four metal legs.
Vela
The four-legged Vela chair harks back to the classic early twentieth century armchair which decorated elegant bourgeois European salons. On closer inspection, all the modern elements of the design developed by Bonaldo Lab emerge, from the sense of lightness which reminds the observer of a yacht at sea to the technological innovations, perceptible through the intensity of the surfaces, taut and ready to be transformed into welcoming forms.
Remo
Remo, a seat with an evocative name, draws its inspiration from the image of a person rowing a boat across a stretch of water. In actual fact, the front and rear legs are joined as if to form a pair of moving oars. The pattern of the legs highlights this sense of dynamism, while the continuity in the frame enhances the warmth and solidity of the solid wood which is available in different shades. The curved back makes this seat welcoming and ideal for placing around a table in the dining area or for greater comfort in a work space.
